I take
great pride and care in creating exceptional brass rubbings - and
in delivering a personal service tailored to your environment and
exact requirements. Each rubbing is made by myself and from the
original brass - not a resin facsimile.
Each commission
is unique.
In a few
instances, I will consider creating commissions by rubbing just
one or two figures from a larger brass. Please
e-mail
me first with your requirements. If I can agree to your proposal,
please supply these additional details in your commission instruction.
Your commission
can take up to 80 hours plus to complete, depending on its size
and complexity, and would be made using a silver wax that is especially
manufactured for me. The rubbing is usually produced on black paper.
Your brass
rubbing is then carefully hand-mounted on a choice of neutral or
coloured cards, ready for framing. Please note, due to various practical
reasons, framing is not part of the DRO service for commissions
being dispatched out of the UK.
A leading
courier company will dispatch your fully insured commission to one
mainland address anywhere in the world. I will make every effort
to complete and dispatch your unique brass rubbing within four working
weeks of receiving your commission order. You will be kept informed
by e-mail throughout the commission process - indeed, you can actually
see your commission in progress through optimised photos e-mailed
direct to your computer on each day I'm on-site.
To reduce
costs, I am pleased to accept cheques or banker's drafts in GB Pounds
Sterling - made payable to "David Read".
